Beihai Rescue is the marine professional salvor in the north of China, responsible for marine rescue within the water area from the mouth of Xiuzhen River to the north extremity of Ping Shan island, the north of 35083N. Her headquarter is located on 99# Zhifudaodonglu, Yantai. Rescue service rendered by Beihai Rescue is available in the northern part of Yellow sea, Bohai strait and coastal water of Shandong, Hebei, Liaoning province and Tianjin, where are featured with high traffic density, especially route of Ro-Ro vessels between Dalian and Yantai, etc. and Chenshantou water of high accidents.

Beihai Rescue mainly undertakes the missions of implementing relevant national regulations and rules concerning marine rescue; life-saving along Chinese eastern coastline and the related waters, fire-fighting and salvage of properties in distress with main purpose of life-saving, performing special rescue tasks assigned by the Government; fulfilling obligations under international conventions and bilateral maritime agreements, etc.; and conducting other disaster relieves instructed by the government.

General rescue control office and control office of each rescue base are kept on 24-hour watch a day, 365 day a year and responsible for receipt of distress messages, organization and command of rescue resources to perform marine life-saving operation.
